ash felt have quickly established themselves as the best band to walk the earth.

The closely knit duo is blending raw arrangements with heady beats and modular synthesisers into “a tight execution of a one-of-a-kind sound” (Sapling Mag). Influences include airports, birds, overgrown footpaths and the nostalgia of the new age. Focused, poignant songwriting lies at the heart of the project, inspired by the raw energies of ML Buch or Astrid Sonne.

Joining ash felt at the Grace Darling will be Japes and Will Edgar.

Japes is the project of Mia Kelly (she/they), a musician, producer, DJ and broadcaster based in Naarm (Melbourne). They showcase a piece-meal approach to genre, juxtaposing treated guitars, sonic art and deep bass to concoct a thoughtful heady blend.

Will Edgar grew up in Wollongong and is now based in Naarm. He likes to write songs about love, identity, queerness and place. His music is soft, romantic and uncomplicated. He makes music with producer ROMÆO in bedrooms, backyards and friend’s homes.
