Kick those Monday blues to the curb at Social Sanctuary – your weekly night of free live music at NSC. We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town!

This week Signal Chain, Darning and Local Sweetheart are stopping by for a show.

Signal Chain aka The Danelectro Appreciation Society has one go-go boot in the 60's and another kicking a noise box. Brill building jangle with a switchblade for a slide. Lipstick tubes ... We got 'em by the dozen, Pucker Up!

Darning is a folk rock band with influences including Modest Mouse, Pavement and Songs Ohia. Their current fixations are refineries, barking dogs and Nick Cave’s old house in Murrumbeena.

Local Sweetheart is a queer and neurodivergent singer-songwriter living in Naarm (Melbourne). Blending indie-folk and alt-rock with their ethereal voice, Local Sweetheart is a conduit for the feelings that you didn’t know you had. Their confessional storytelling, layered with infectious guitar melodies and dreamy harmonies, will remind you of voice notes from a friend.

Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat

Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.

We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
